Longer Days
Description
Extends the base 7.5‑minute in‑game day to longer durations by applying a time multiplier to the entire day–night cycle.
You can choose multipliers such as 1.5× (~11 minutes), 2× (15 minutes), 2.5× (~19 minutes), or 3× (~22.5 minutes), which lets you fit more tasks into each in‑game day without speeding up animations, movement, or other systems.
How the longer day works
The full cycle (dawn, day, evening, night) is stretched uniformly, so NPC routines, plant growth, and other time‑based systems still follow the same clock, just over a longer real‑time span.
Practically, you get more real‑time minutes before night arrives, which means more time per in‑game day to craft, farm, manage zombies, or do quests before you decide to sleep.
Example:
Vanilla: 7.5 minutes per day.
2×: 15 minutes per day — effectively doubling your working window each in‑game day.
Configuration in game
The mod is built for the BepInEx framework; with the Graveyard Keeper BepInEx 5 Pack installed, you can press F1 in‑game to open a configuration UI if the mod exposes configurable options there.
From that config menu, you can select your preferred day‑length multiplier (e.g., 1.5×, 2×, 2.5×, 3×) instead of editing files by hand.
Requirements and compatibility
Requires the “Graveyard Keeper BepInEx 5 Pack” to be installed, as the mod is implemented as a BepInEx plugin.
It is built and tested against the latest Windows Steam build of Graveyard Keeper; it should generally work on other storefronts or platforms using BepInEx, but these are not extensively tested, so results may vary.
Installation steps
Recommended: Use Vortex from Nexus Mods to install and manage the mod automatically.
Manual install: Extract the contents of the Longer Days mod archive into your
...\steamapps\common\Graveyard Keeper\BepInExfolder so that its files sit alongside the existing BepInEx pack structure.
Are you planning to combine this with other QoL mods (like inventory or automation), or do you mainly want it for a more relaxed, “no‑rush” playthrough?
