Loot Modifier

Loot Modifier is a work-in-progress tool for Road to Vostok that lets you customize loot drops and their condition ranges, giving you more freedom over how much loot you find.

Current Features (v1.1.5)

Feature	Description
Drop Chance Modification	Adjust floor loot and container loot drop chances — lessen or increase your odds, the decision is yours
Loot Reroll System	If a container spawns below your set minimum, it rerolls and adds items between min/max (doesn’t override loot above max)
Guaranteed Floor Loot	Option to guarantee floor loot spawns (minor bug: items may fall through ground)
Condition Range Modification	Modify spawn condition ranges for items with conditions (weapons, NVGs, lights, etc.)

Key Behaviors

Loot Add Chance: Adds loot if container would be below your minimum, up to your maximum
Above Maximum: Loot can still spawn above your set maximum (reroll only adds between min/max)
Load Order: Load this mod after other container/floor loot mods to clear previously generated loot and prevent duplicates/bugs
Hooks: Uses hooks for increased compatibility, reducing mod conflicts
XP & Skills Warning: If using XP and Skills System, disable scavenger (won’t work with this mod)

Installation

Place the .zip file inside your mod folder
If using Vostok Mods Injector or Metro Loader v3+: rename .zip → .vmz

Use Case

Often paired with Medical Durability (multi-use meds) to balance durability with rarity — ensuring items are more durable but harder to find. Also used to tune high-tier equipment spawn rates for economic balance.
