Target Types Explained

• Client: Your regular Windrose game install

• Local Server: WindowsServer files within main game folder

• Dedicated Server: Separate Steam Dedicated Server app

• Hosted Server: Remote/rented server accessed via SFTP/FTP

Quick Start Guide

1. Extract anywhere on your PC

2. Run WindroseModManager.exe

3. Auto-detects Windrose paths (or set manually in Settings)

4. Import mods via Library screen

5. Install to Client, Server, Both, or Hosted target

6. Edit server configs via Server screen

7. Use Recovery for backups/undo operations

Hosted Server Setup

• Requires SFTP/FTP access credentials from your provider

• Connect remotely from your PC (don’t install on server)

• Host Havoc: Check panel for SFTP/FTP details

• Indifferent Broccoli: Uses FTP port 21

• FTP supported but no auto-restart commands yet

Key Details

• Portable app, no installer needed

• Backups stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\WindroseModDeployer

• Always backs up before overwriting files

• Compare tool reviews differences (not auto-sync)

Current Limitations

• Windows 10/11 only

• No Nexus auto-download

• No load order management

• No FTP server restart automation

• Some antivirus may flag unsigned executable
