Ultimate Engine Tweaks (Less Stutter – Better Performance – Lower Latency – Improved Clarity – No Visual Loss)

A fully optimized Unreal Engine Engine.ini configuration designed to reduce stuttering, improve performance and stability, lower input latency, and enhance image clarity without any visual compromise.

After more than one year of iterative testing across 50+ other UE5 games, I’m sharing my final custom optimized Engine.ini for this game.

The goal of this mod is to apply as many useful optimizations as possible for CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD performance in order to minimize stuttering, improve frame pacing, reduce input lag, and sharpen image quality. This includes adjustments to Film Grain, Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, TSR upscaling, anti-aliasing, ghosting, and shimmering, while avoiding visual degradation, glitches, or crashes.

VRR or No VRR?

VRR means Variable Refresh Rate, such as G-Sync on NVIDIA or FreeSync on AMD.

Before choosing a version, make sure VRR is enabled both in your GPU control panel and on your monitor or TV.

• If VRR is enabled on both, use the VRR version.

• If not, use the No VRR version.

Installation

Launch the game once and then close it. After that, download and extract the Engine.ini file into:

%localappdata%\NewMoon\Saved\Config\Windows

To open the folder quickly, press Win + R, paste the path above, and hit Enter.

Then right-click the file, open Properties, check Read-only, and confirm with Apply/OK.

Xbox PC version only

For the Xbox PC version, place the file in:

%localappdata%\NewMoon\Saved\Config\WinGDK

Again, open the path with Win + R, then set the file to Read-only and apply the changes.

Uninstallation

To remove the mod, simply delete the modified Engine.ini. The game will restore its default settings the next time it starts.

Important

Do not use this mod together with other optimization mods. Other types of mods should remain compatible.
