WILL: Follow The Light
WILL: Follow The Light is a cinematic first-person adventure about family, survival, memory, and the dangerous pull of hope. In WILL: Follow The Light: A Journey Across Stormy Northern Seas, players step into the role of Will, a lighthouse keeper living on a remote island in the northern seas. His isolated routine ends when a radio message reveals that disaster has struck his hometown and his only son is missing. What follows is a story-driven puzzle game featuring realistic sailing, yacht navigation, dog sled travel, harsh northern landscapes, environmental storytelling, and mysterious visions where reality and dreams begin to overlap. Will must take control of his yacht, Molly, cross violent waters, travel through snow-covered wilderness, and search ruined locations for answers about his son, his wife, and his difficult relationship with his own father. Developed by TomorrowHead Studio and released on May 7, 2026, the game presents its journey as more than a rescue mission. Every storm, memory, machine, and beam of light pushes Will toward uncomfortable truths about the family he hopes to reunite.
A Lighthouse Keeper Leaves Home
Will begins in a place built to guide others, yet he soon becomes the person searching for direction. The missing child gives his journey a clear goal, but the story gradually expands into an examination of fathers, sons, absence, and responsibility.
Empty coastlines, damaged structures, frozen mountains, and dark seas create a constant sense of distance. Even when the scenery looks beautiful, the weather and isolation remind players that Will is far from safety.
Learning To Sail The Molly
Sailing is a central part of WILL: Follow The Light. Players manage a yacht while moving through icy fjords and stormy seas, using a navigation system based on longitude and latitude. The mechanics were designed with input from real-world voyagers, aiming for an experience that feels believable without becoming impossible to understand.
The boat is more than transportation between story scenes. Reading instruments, choosing a course, and responding to rough conditions make the voyage feel active. The sea becomes a shifting puzzle that can turn threatening without much warning.

Crossing Snow By Dog Sled
Not every part of Will’s search happens on the water. In the frozen wilderness, players guide a dog sled through narrow trails and fierce blizzards. The change in movement replaces nautical navigation with speed, poor visibility, and the struggle of crossing hostile terrain.
These sections give the adventure visual variety. The journey moves from the enclosed controls of a yacht to open snowfields where the next landmark can vanish behind the weather.
Puzzles Hidden In The Environment
Progress often depends on observing the world rather than following a simple marker. Players interact with elevators, heavy machinery, weather stations, navigation equipment, and other environmental systems. Clues are built into locations, encouraging careful exploration before a solution becomes clear.
The puzzles connect gameplay with Will’s past. Solving a mechanical problem may open a route, but it can also unlock another memory or reveal a new question about his family.
