Stutters Begone (DirectStorage Upgrade)

Upgrades DirectStorage and disables Tips Display to deliver a smoother, better-performing gameplay experience.

Installation

1. Download the provided .zip file, or obtain the DLL files directly from the official NuGet package

2. In your Steam library, locate Death Stranding 2, click the settings icon, and navigate to Manage → Browse local files

3. Drag the DLL files from the zip into the game folder, confirming any override prompts

4. Launch the game, go to Game & System Settings, and disable Tips Display under Assistance Features

Alternative Method

As an additional option, deleting dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll from the game folder entirely may also reduce stuttering, though it will result in increased CPU usage.
