Class Overview

The Paladin blends the roles of healer and tank, offering strong self-sustain, solid frontline durability, and reliable support for allies.

Highlights

  • Power Of The Sun: Area healing abilities that also harm enemies.

  • Evil Has No Power: Many Paladin attacks and skills apply Attack Down to foes.

  • Help The Unfortunate: Several abilities interact differently with blinded targets, adding extra utility.

  • Generosity: The Paladin can give up personal resources to strengthen or support teammates.

  • Dark Paladin: A hybrid style that mixes healing and damage, often leaning more toward one side depending on the build.

Abilities

Active Abilities

  • Rekindle: Restores health to a target ally and applies Temporary Damage Down to nearby enemies.

  • Determination: Grants Unstoppable and 1 Temporary Speed Up.

  • Paralyzer: Applies 1 Temporary Damage Down to enemies and gives 2 Shield to allies in a cone.

  • Pacifism: Forces all visible enemies far away.

  • Repel: Performs a wide melee strike that knocks enemies back and has a 50% chance to stun. Bosses are confused instead.

  • Crusade: Makes you immune to damage for the turn. Its cost is lowered based on healing done that turn.

  • Sunbeam: Damages enemies and heals allies in a straight line.

  • Sunspot: Damages enemies and heals allies in a cross-shaped area.

  • Sunstrike: Damages enemies and heals allies in an X-shaped pattern.

  • Generosity: Heals an ally and grants them 2 Shield.

  • Charity: Transfers your current Shield to an ally, then generates 1 Shield each turn.

  • Holy Guard: Gives you 2 Shield and causes you to swap with an ally the next time they are hit.

  • Cover: Dash forward and gain 2 Shield. If you collide with an ally, they also receive 2 Shield.

  • A Hero In Need: Leap to a location and grant nearby allies Temporary Holy Shield.

  • Divine Protection: Gives an ally Holy Shield and crowd control immunity for the current turn.

  • Unworthy: If the target already has Holy Shield, remove it and take it for yourself. Otherwise, grant them Holy Shield.

  • Shiny Armor: Grants a non-stacking Holy Shield and blinds adjacent units.

  • Blind Baptism: Blinds units in an area. Targets already blinded are cleansed instead.

  • Blinding Light: Applies 2 Burn to enemies in a cone with a chance to stun. Blinded targets are unaffected.

  • Blind Martyr: Blinds a target, but while blinded they gain 2 All Stats Up.

  • Brilliance: Grants Temporary Brace and 1 Spell Damage. This uses your attack action.

  • Cauterize: Applies Burn 2 and 4 Diminishing Health Regeneration to the target. Blinded units are not burned.

  • Shoulder Bash: A melee hit that deals damage, lowers the enemy’s attack, and stuns them. Bosses are slowed instead.

  • Harmless: Lowers an enemy’s outgoing damage for a period of time.

  • Purify: Heals while also dealing damage.

  • Heal From Evil: Restores health and applies delayed pain to the target.

  • Judgement: A melee strike that heals nearby allies.

  • Execute: A melee attack that heals the whole team if it lands the killing blow.

Passive Abilities

  • Sacred Aegis: Blocks attacks coming from the front. Attackers have a 20% chance to receive Damage Down.

  • Arbiter: Your attacks apply Damage Down equal to the amount you currently have.

  • Warrior Of Light: While protected by Holy Shield, you gain Spell Damage Up and your spells cost 1 less mana.

  • Elcor’s Aura: Boosts healing based on your current Charisma, divided by 3.

  • Leadership: Your team acts first and is immune to crowd control on the opening turn.

  • Crusader: Healing an ally causes 1 random enemy to take magic damage.

  • Truant: Grants Thorns and 1 Constitution, but every 2 turns there is a chance to fall asleep.

  • Unyielding: Casting a spell grants diminishing health regeneration.

  • Healing Factor: Recover 2 health whenever you are attacked.

  • Dark Paladin: Gain Holy Shield whenever you score a kill.

  • Frontline: Your basic attacks heal adjacent allies.

  • Paladin’s Vow: Grants Brace and Health Regeneration. After getting a kill, those bonuses are replaced with more offensive boosts such as speed and damage.

  • Spiritually Protected: 15% of enemies spawn defanged.

How To Unlock

Follow these steps to unlock the class:

  1. Install the Paladin Unlocker Mod.

  2. Speak with Butch. The default dialogue should unlock the class.

  3. Starting a new game is not required.

  4. Optionally, remove the Unlocker Mod afterward.

Note: Mewgenics does not officially support custom class mods. If you save during a run while using a modded class, a future update may cause the game to crash. In some cases, restoring the class data may resolve the issue.
