Auto Item Reveal

Auto Item Reveal is a lightweight script for Resident Evil 9 that makes item icons visible on the map, helping you avoid missing loot during your playthrough.

How It Works

The mod reveals items based on area progression. As you unlock and enter new sections of the map, the items within those areas become visible.

If a section is locked behind a key or story trigger, its items will only appear after that section has been unlocked or entered. This keeps exploration balanced and avoids revealing loot in areas you have not yet reached through normal gameplay.

FAQ

Q: Why don’t items inside normal unlocked drawers show up on the map, while locked drawers display an exclamation mark?
A: This is due to how the game handles map data. Locked drawers already have a pre-assigned icon, such as an exclamation mark, so the mod can force that icon to appear early. Normal drawers, however, often do not have a map icon assigned until they are opened, and in some cases the items inside are not spawned until then. Since the mod can only reveal icons that already exist in the game’s data, it cannot display items that were never mapped in the first place.
