Never Fail Boss Looting
Description
You finally beat the final boss of a run… and then your cat dies. No loot, no glory—just a “get rekt” moment.
Not anymore. This mod turns your cats into expert corpse scavengers who can never fail to grab their well‑earned boss rewards.
Q: Wait, what even is this? Boss loot? Huh?
A: STOP! Don’t keep reading unless you want to be spoiled. You can always come back later.

Reasoning
What’s fun? Taking on the optional boss challenge and getting some juicy loot for your trouble.
What’s not fun? Taking that same extra challenge… and getting punished for it.
In the vanilla game, boss loot events have only two outcomes:
You succeed and get the loot.
You fail, your cat dies, and you get nothing.
Given how grindy meta progression is, losing a cat sucks. That cat might have been 7% of an inventory upgrade, or a key breed line. Maybe they had a cool mutation. Poof—it’s all gone in a single bad roll.
This is especially frustrating when the outcome hinges purely on random chance. The game is full of crazy RNG, but it’s usually forgiving: a downed cat is just a minor penalty, a critical event failure usually means a disorder at worst. So why do we get utterly wiped just for daring to claim the loot we earned?
The “smart” vanilla playstyle becomes: ignore every boss loot event. That’s extremely unfun and makes fighting these awesome end bosses feel unrewarding.
I hate this system, so I modded it. Thanks to the devs for making it easy to patch.

Compatibility
This mod uses a gon.patch to keep compatibility as broad as possible. As far as I know, it only affects the bad outcomes of boss corpse‑plundering events, which are overwritten with null—so those bad outcomes simply no longer exist. The game will always pick the good outcome instead.
This should be compatible with anything that does not specifically modify those bad‑outcome nodes.
If the mod stops working with another mod, try adjusting the load order. Since this mod has very minimal effects, it’s best to load it later in the list (check the Mewtator description page for guidance).
